  1. ggnamedrop says:

posting a graph like this makes you cool

  2. ken says:

You mean there is more to campaigning for office than invoking 9/11?
    I highly doubt that.

  3. ken says:

    Rudy can suck it.

  4. Ginny says:

I think that the graph is supposed to be pejorative, but I really don’t see how Giuliani being an all around bad ass and invoking 9/11 is a bad thing.

    • Simon says:

The trouble with Rudy is that he doesn’t think he needs to mention anything OTHER than 9/11 to get votes.

John McCain is trying to copy his way of campaigning now – his answer to questions about healthcare or the economy is usually something along the lines of noun, verb, POW.

      • Trudy says:

Yeah. Much like Obama answers any question directed at him with noun, verb, CHANGE. He’s coasting along without having to say anything other than, “Hey, I’m different from Bush.” So is McCain.

This is a good site to check out, if you’re curious. It points out untruths coming from both camps:

      • Lindsay says:

when i saw this graph, i actually thought about making one with John McCain and doing that, but that would be copying :P

Question: What is your Foreign Policy plan?
JM: I was a POW at the Hanoi Hilton.

Question: What do you plan to do about the rising cost of energy?
JM: I was a POW at the Hanoi Hilton.

        yes, exactly.

        • ClickClickNow says:

Which brings to mind the movie “Team America”,
where in whenever anyone interviewed or talked to
character Matt Damon, he’d respond with the words,
          “I’m Matt Damon”.

          Hey, I’m just sayin…

          • ema says:

Question: What is your Foreign Policy plan?
BO: Change we can believe in.

Question: What do you plan to do about the rising cost of energy?
BO: Change we can believe in.

      • ThyGoblinking says:

Noun! Verb! POW! Adjective! Preposition! BIFF!

Hey kids! I’m Captain Grammar and this is my faithful ward Punctuation boy. We’re here to remind you to always use proper punctuation, it makes your thought much more coherent!

        You’re welcome!

        Away, and an Adverb!

    • Hambone says:

Wow, so being a broken record and just parroting 9/11 over and over, and essentially Godwining every single statement you make, that makes you a badass now? I didn’t realize standards had sunk so low.

      • Erik says:

Oh yes. If you can say “noun verb militant tragedy” in response to a question, with proper inflection, you too can deride the veracity of anything different said on the matter. And while using it to dodge questions, you can also use it to deflect accusations thereof.

    • Danyell says:

How was he a bad-ass, exactly? Sure, he talks a good deal about September 11th, but he wasn’t actually there (i.e., on the scene) or doing anything about it. Except maybe denying health care to those injured in the line of duty.

Now Bloomberg, he’s kind of a bad-ass. At least by comparison anyways.

  5. Sean says:

everybody here seems to be acting awfully casual about one of the worst tragedy’s our country has even endured. Maybe he talks about it because of the profound effect it’s had on thousands of lives including his own.

  6. Sam says:

I thought he added a fourth component to his sentences… Amen…. when he started getting close that Dobson dude ;)

  7. Realityhelix says:

“The worst tragedy our country has known?” So I’m guessing the Civil War was just a barroom brawl, then?

  8. Wolvie says:

Do one on Obama’s radical associations!

    • SuperBowlXX says:

You want to talk radical associations? How about Sarah Palin’s husband, who for 7 years was a member of a group that wanted to SECEDE FROM THE UNITED STATES.

      • Bird says:

Yes, because wanting to secede from the United States is just as bad as associating with people who bombed buildings, committed acts of terrorism, and possibly planned on injuring/killing Army NCOs in one of their bombings with the only reason that one didn’t happen being that the bomb went off early and killed the people who were to plant it.

YES. IT’S EXACTLY THE SAME. I’M SO GLAD YOU HAVE ENLIGHTENED US ALL.

      • Danyell says:

Pssssh. I wish New York could secede from the US.

        • Danyell says:

Just to clarify, I do hate Sarah Palin.

But I do think NYC should be it’s own country. I’d invite Mass., Seattle, Portland, maybe parts of Cali…but it might be too awkward being so spread out.

    LOL @ the video
