Not that good.
They say that despite the fact that he always played the straight man, Zeppo was the funniest of the brothers.
Just something I read the other day.
I read in one of Groucho’s autobiographies (because he had about six billion) that he actually resented Zeppo for being the most talented. When they did ‘Animal Crackers’ on Broadway, he understudied for the three others.
One night, Groucho was rushed to the hospital to have his appendix removed, and Zeppo took over his role. The next morning, Groucho saw reviews that said that Zeppo was funnier in the role than he himself was, and dragged himself back to the theatre as soon as he was even remotely able to so that Zeppo wouldn’t get more popular.
Zeppo does rule. I’m pleased to see the love for him testified!
Zeppo was funny? If only he was funny on camera.

I like that Karl got a bit of a nod there.

actually, karl was a lot funnier than all of them.
i think karl should have gotten at least a 10. he was pretty funny.
I can just see him slapping his knee and giggle-snorting while writing Das Capital saying, “Noone’s EVER going to take this seriously!!”
