About once a week I get calls from a company and immediately after saying ‘Hello’ I hear you’re call is important to us please hold for the next…blah blah blah and im like What?! You called me!

If you want to feel valued, never call: AOL, Sprint, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, any credit card company, any airline, Dell, well…maybe you should just put the phone down. Sad truth: No one cares about consumers anymore.

It was sad — 25 comes from real world experience — on hold for 45 minutes (3 different occasions), with the same recorded “your call is important to us” message coming up every minute and a half. Realize this may be generous, but I figured after I’d heard that 25 times, the company’s credibility had officially hit rock bottom…

That’s why I dropped Comcast. I had a problem and was on hold for an hour. I never got anyone, and I had to leave. This was after my bill increased for 6 months in a row, for no discernible reason. As soon as I could call back, I called the disconnect line and got someone immediately. They were very willing to listen to me then. I was done.
