I submitted mine when they said that any one submitted with a cheat sheet would get posted. It didn’t get posted. Lots of ones that have old jokes or the old “50/50 pie chart” chestnut have been put up though. Bitter? Surely not…

Before someone says “we just come here for the ‘lulz’”: this site is about GRAPHS. That submitters should have a rudimentary grasp of what a graph even IS goes without saying. If you don’t know how graphs work, go submit to one of the other sites on the Network. Srsly.

This graph doesn’t make any sense. I know what you’re trying to say, that the more graphs of yours that are rejected, the more your self esteem goes down. Why is time on the x-axis? You make no mention of time. Furthermore, if you did need to label time, you need some type of unit such as seconds or years. Your y-axis should have been some type of self-esteem index.

The reason these graphs are funny are when they accurately show some sort of reality that would not normally be graphed.

The x-axis (independent variable) should be labeled number of graphs rejected and the y-axis (dependent variable) should be self-esteem. There should be ONE negatively sloped regression line–not two. And it really doesn’t need to be labeled as it shows the relationship between the two variables.

Incidentally, this is probably why all your graphs get rejected.

I thought mine didn’t appear either but it’s purely because they receive so many graphs that sometimes it doesn’t appear on the front page or even the second or third! I suggest you search for your graph in the wee box at the right hand side and you’ll see it

I’m not sure what kind of backlog they have, but the couple I submitted showed up in a day or two. Maybe resubmit? The other thing I wonder is about format and/or filesize… I submitted mine as small gifs because that’s how they are posted on the site…

i give this graph a 1 because you don’t even know how to use graph axes. you used 2 lines where you should have only used 1 to show the correlation that you were trying to show. learn how to make proper graphs or else graphjam will end up sucking.

Well, I haven’t gotten anything for the one that I just sent in. I thought it was fair (it wasn’t related to music and it wasn’t that God-awful Spinal Tap “goes to 11″ again) so I thought I’d send it in.

But you might as well try resubmitting, Bubba, since it seems like the site admins have weekly bouts of amnesia.

I am thinking of sending my just over and over and over again until it gets on here. But question how do you know its been rejected? Do they send you a note, or do you just go by the fact it hasn’t shown up yet?
