  1. Matt says:

    Boo…

Continuous curve between discrete domain values is ill advised.

It should have been a bar graph

  2. cinnarose says:

Some people are huge nerds. That is also ill advised.

  3. Mark says:

I actually have read that book, it’s not a very difficult read.

    • Paperclippe says:

Same here. But I actually prefer “The Universe in a Nutshell”. His sense of humour is actually pretty good, too.

      • poopmonger says:

don’t you mean: “his sense of humor is actually pretty good!”

“This is a Stephen Hawking joke!”

        “So is this!”

  4. michael says:

boom chacalaca, boom chacalaca, boom chacalaca, BOOM !
Okay nerds….. When did Stephen say this?

    • wykkedfae says:

      Family Guy!

      • Joe says:

I don’t think that was supposed to be Hawking specifically, or even in a round about way. Good episode though.

    • Herb says:

I preferred his appearances on Simpsons and Futurama — if for no other reason than they actually *had* him come on to read his lines, rather than just using the Bruce” voice on the iMac.

“I came to see a utopia, but all I see is a fruitopia.”

  5. Hamstadini says:

Coincidentally, I read up to chapter 4 in Noah’s Bagel’s yesterday.

  6. josh says:

agreed. I was confused until i realized it should have been a bar graph. Understanding different values is *not* ill advised

  7. DevilSquirrel says:

This may have worked even better as a Venn diagram. Still, the idea is solid and funny.

  8. DrewG says:

dude just get the audiobook(don’t worry it’s not narrated by stephen hawking).. It’s a great road trip/plane listen. It’s actually really well done and humorous. For all the “P-Branes” in the house, The universe in a nutshell is my fav too though

  9. Steve says:

Doesn’t anyone get the reference to the shape of the graph being the World Line thing? (It’s been a while since I read it, and I’m tired, but I know what I’m talking about)
